Meet Dr. Parr
Rebecca Parr DDS
I was raised in Great Bend, Kansas. From a young age, I was drawn to healthcare and had the opportunity to shadow many community professionals, but ultimately fell in love with dentistry!
In high school, I met my husband-to-be on the cross country team. Together, we attended Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. There, I studied biology and chemistry and ran cross country, indoor and outdoor track, before graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in 2007. I went on to attend the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated with honors in 2012. While in dental school, my husband and I welcomed our two beautiful daughters, Adelynn and Amelia.
Following graduation, I had the opportunity to work with a school-based community health program, providing care for uninsured children. It was here that I realized my love for working with children and my desire to pursue a lifetime career in pediatric dentistry.
My family and I moved to Lexington, KY, where I completed my specialty program at the University of Kentucky. I loved my time in the Bluegrass State and the excellent training I received in pediatric dentistry. However, my family and I are thrilled to be back home in Kansas!
Since joining Children’s Dental Professionals, I have been overwhelmed by the support I have received. From the sweet children and wonderful families in our practice to our incredible team members, I am surrounded by amazing people daily. I know it is a privilege to serve your family and take pride in doing so in the best way possible!
Dr. Parr is AMAZING! She put my son's teeth as her priority. She talked to him all the way through. I would recommend this office to ANY parent.
Dr. Parr is awesome! She is very caring as well as the other doctors and the whole staff!
She provides professional yet personal care. They all take their service that one step further while working with a patient.
The entire staff has a true love for children and their dental care. My kids actually get excited when I tell them it's time to go to the dentist!
After all, we are a kids' dental practice.
- What Do You Do Outside of the Office?
I LOVE spending time with my family and being able to cheer on my girls in their sports and activities. We enjoy being active as a family in our church. I like to recharge with quiet time at home when possible too!
- Who Is Your Hero?
My parents! They have always supported me and taught me to have strong values rooted in faith and family. I am so very thankful for their example for me as a parent.
- Best Day of Your Life
So many days to be thankful for. The day I married my husband and became a mom are at the top of the list.
- Interesting Fact
I am somewhat ambidextrous. I practice dentistry mainly left-handed but play sports and other activities right-handed.
